Dr. John P. Sullivan was a career police officer, now retired. Throughout his career he has specialized in emergency operations, terrorism, and intelligence. He is an Instructor in the Safe Communities Institute (SCI) at the University of Southern California, Senior El Centro Fellow at Small Wars Journal, Contributing Editor at Homeland Security Today, and Associate with C/O Futures, LLC. He served as a lieutenant with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, where he has served as a watch commander, operations lieutenant, headquarters operations lieutenant, service area lieutenant, tactical planning lieutenant, and in command and staff roles for several major national special security events and disasters. Sullivan received a lifetime achievement award from the National Fusion Center Association in November 2018 for his contributions to the national network of intelligence fusion centers. He has a PhD from the Open University of Catalonia, an MA in urban affairs and policy analysis from the New School for Social Research, and a BA in Government from the College of William & Mary. Dr. Robert J. Bunker is the Director of Research and Analysis of C/O Futures, LLC and a Senior Fellow with Small Wars Journal-El Centro. An international security and counterterrorism professional, he was Futurist in Residence at the Behavioral Science Unit (BSU) at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy in Quantico, VA, Minerva Chair at the Strategic Studies Institute (SSI) of the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle, PA, and has taught at Claremont Graduate University, the University of Southern California, and with other universities. Dr. Bunker holds degrees in the fields of history, anthropology-geography, social science, behavioral science, government, and political science and has trained extensively in counterterrorism and counternarcotics. Kuhn is an Associate with C/O Futures, LLC and an Associate with Small Wars Journal-El Centro. He is a subject matter expert in analysis, technical instruction, and terrorism response training related to stand off weaponry (MANPADS, threat, interdiction, aircraft survivability, et. al), infantry weapons, small arms, IED/VBIEDs, WMD, and other threat and allied use technologies. He is presently the principal of VTAC Training Solutions and has career-long experience in supporting governmental operations and corporate initiatives in the fields of homeland security, vulnerability assessment, technical operations, and project management, with additional focus and expertise in areas involving facility threat/risk assessments, underwater operations, and varied engineering technologies.

Brian Kime is VP of Intelligence Strategy and Advisory at ZeroFo, where he leads strategic intelligence production, competitive intelligence, thought leadership, and customer advisory. He formerly led all threat intelligence, vulnerability risk management, and industrial control systems security research at Forrester. He is also a major in the United States Army Reserve Innovation Command where he seeks out operational innovation, concepts, and capabilities to enhance the readiness and lethality of the US Army as an Innovation Liaison Officer.

With over 15 years in Intelligence operations, Brian knows intelligence programs can only succeed with robust management support and an in-depth understanding of the environment and threats. Brian has worked at Secureworks where he helped defend the premier managed security service provider and later embedded in one of the firm’s largest client’s security teams. He also helped defend the electric grid from state-nexus actors at Southern Company. As an Army Reserve officer, he deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom where he provided intelligence support to special operations forces.

Brian holds many security certifications including CISSP, GLEG, GPEN, GCFA, GCCC, GCPM, GCIA, GCIH, GSEC and is an Army Cyber Operations Planner. He holds masters of science degrees from the SANS Technology Institute and Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Tech.
