U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Laredo Field Office formally announced the selection of Paul Del Rincon as port director for the Eagle Pass Port of Entry during a change of command ceremony held at the International Center for Trade. Del Rincon succeeds John L. Brandt, who will be retiring at the end of this fiscal year.
“I am proud and excited to begin this new venture in my career as port director for the Port of Eagle Pass. I had the privilege of working with the great men and women of CBP at this port earlier this year and I was very impressed with their dedication and commitment to the communities from both sides of the border. I plan to continue and enhance partnerships with the cities of Eagle Pass, Texas and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. Earlier this year I implemented operational strategies that proved to be fruitful, such as the opening of the port’s Trusted Traveler Program enrollment center and the implementation of a dedicated SENTRI lane at The Camino Real International Bridge. I’m honored to serve the bordering cities of Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras as we strive towards common goals of securing our communities and improving legitimate travel and trade,” said Port Director Paul Del Rincon, Eagle Pass Port of Entry.
“Paul has exceeded all expectations and has already established solid relationships at all levels to improve operations at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry,” said Director Field Operations David P. Higgerson, Laredo Field Office. “I’m confident his leadership, hard work, and dedication will take this port to new heights.”
