TVTP Solutions posted its first of a three-part video series exploring the root elements that fuel the pathway to radicalization: identity, purpose, and community.
In this first episode, Robert Mahoney, CEO and Founder of TVTP Solutions, focuses his targeted violence and terrorism prevention (TVTP) efforts on identity—how each person carries an “identity bucket” they constantly try to fill. When life events, change, or instability cause that bucket to run dry, people naturally search for a new “well” to draw from. Sometimes, what they find doesn’t make logical sense from the outside, but the pull is powerful because it provides stability, belonging, and definition. When it comes to radicalization, it’s often not the message that resonates most; it’s the ability to answer the question “Who am I?”
The “Identity, Purpose, and Community” podcast series and TVTP Solutions aims to educate health providers, educators, faith leaders, law enforcement, and neighbors on the critical elements that fuel radicalization and potential violence and, ultimately, empower communities to prevent targeted violence and terrorism.
