Mexico’s largest airline, AeroMexico, has developed an ad campaign to encourage Americans who “don’t like” Mexico to visit — based on their DNA makeup.
The cheeky ad interviews Americans who simply don’t like Mexico and wouldn’t think of traveling there. “The idea of going to Mexico is not something that I would foresee,” a blurry man XX tells the camera.
To challenge their dislike of a place they’ve never been, DNA tests are performed to find out that because of the migration between Mexico and America for hundreds of years….nearly everyone is a “little bit Mexican.” Discounts on air travel are based on the percentage Mexican the interviewees are.
“Bullshit, that’s bullshit” cries one. And “Yeah, I’ll go to Mexico if they had Taco Bells on the street corners down there” says another.
The message from AeroMexico? There are no borders within us.
