U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo North Station arrested several individuals as they attempted to evade apprehension by using fraudulent identification documents as they were traveling in a commercial bus through the Interstate 35 (I-35) checkpoint.
The incident occurred during the early morning of September 11, when agents were conducting immigration inspections aboard a commercial passenger bus. During the inspections, agents discovered three undocumented individuals who presented fraudulent U.S. passport cards.
Jesus Ayala-Cano, 30-year-old Mexican national, Leabardo De Lira-Cruz, a 32-year-old-Mexcian national, and Lucas Mancia, a 24-year-old Guatemalan national, were taken into custody to be processed for their immigration violations.
