Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston apprehended a 28-year-old Brazilian national charged with drug, firearms and ammunition crimes. Officers with ERO Boston arrested Gustavo Augusto Mroczkoski Sept. 17 in Oak Bluffs.
“Gustavo Augusto Mroczkoski unlawfully entered the United States, made his way to Martha’s Vineyard and allegedly engaged in drug and weapons crimes,” said ERO Boston acting Field Office Director Patricia H. Hyde. “His actions potentially endangered the members of this Massachusetts community. ERO Boston will continue to prioritize the safety of our public by relentlessly pursuing, arresting and removing egregious noncitizen offenders.”
U.S. Border Patrol arrested Mroczkoski after he unlawfully entered the United States May 4, 2021, near San Luiz, Arizona.
ERO released Mroczkoski July 3, 2021, on an order of recognizance.
Authorities in Dukes County arrested Mroczkoski and arraigned him in the Dukes County Superior Court July 24 on two counts of possessing a large capacity weapon, as well as charges of possessing more than 300 rounds of ammunition without a firearms identification card, possessing with intent to distribute a Class B controlled substance, and possessing Class C and Class E controlled substances.
Officers from ERO Boston arrested Mroczkoski Sept. 17, in Oak Bluffs. He remains in ERO custody.
