WASHINGTON, D.C. Jan 23, 2026 — Homeland Security Today (HSToday), the premiere source for information and news for the homeland security community, today announced the launch of the National Border Security Awards, the inaugural national recognition program honoring outstanding individuals, teams, and organizations advancing the mission of securing America’s borders.
In support of increased coverage and attention to border and immigration information, HSToday also announced the expansion of the Editorial Board for the Border Security & Immigration news vertical.
“In 2025 we saw a significant focus and incredible results in securing America’s borders. These accomplishments deserve recognition for the men and women on the front lines of border security, as well as the innovators and partners supporting this mission,” said Kristina Tanasichuk, Executive Editor, Homeland Security Today. “Advancements for border security are moving incredibly fast — and to support the execution of the missions outlined in the Big Beautiful Bill (OB3), we are also increasing our Editorial Board for coverage of border security and immigration. Securing our borders is a complex, multi-layered challenge, and HSToday seeks to put forward the information and insights necessary to assure our government and industry partners can move fast and with excellence. The issue is critical to our nation’s economy, safety, and security.”
