Senate Commerce Chairman John Thune has insisted that a suite of transportation security-related provisions is the carrot he needs to get a long-term FAA bill passed by July 15, but House Homeland Security Chairman Mike McCaul wants TSA and homeland security measures inserted in any FAA bill that passes before the summer recess — short-term, long-term, or otherwise.
