Police: Border Patrol Agent Shot in Hand in North Laredo

A U.S. Border Patrol agent was shot in the hand Tuesday night at an apartment in north Laredo, according to police.

The unidentified agent was shot in the middle finger shortly before 11 p.m.

He was home at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Kirby Drive when the shooting happened.

LPD investigators are uncertain whether it was an accidental discharge of a weapon or if there was criminal intent, said Investigator Joe Baeza, LPD spokesman.
