NYPD Intelligence Chief Warns of ‘Terrorism for Dummies’

Unpredictable lone-wolf attacks are terrorism’s future — and the challenge of preventing them may get harder before it gets easier, the NYPD’s counterterrorism chief said Sunday.

“We went from 9/11 up to 2017 without a successful terrorist attack in New York City,” said Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism John Miller on The Cats Roundtable on AM 970. “Starting in 2017 through recent months, we’ve had three.”

“One of the questions we’re asking is: so what’s different? Why are we seeing this?” he told host John Catsimatidis.
