An Islamic extremist linked to the ringleader of the London Bridge terror attacks and to hate preacher Anjem Choudary can today be unmasked as a former car dealer and part-time bus driver.
The Mail on Sunday has established that the true identity of Abu Haleema – a high-profile figure who appeared in a Channel 4 documentary called The Jihadis Next Door and who has posted dozens of hateful videos on YouTube – is Shakil Chapra.
Three years ago, The Jihadis Next Door showed footage of Chapra at a rally in Regent’s Park with Khuram Butt, who led the London Bridge attacks in 2017 which left eight people dead.
