Wanted Hungarian Man Deported by ICE

A 38-year-old Hungarian man wanted on theft and assault charges in his home country was extradited on Dec. 6 by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officers. Imre Racz, who overstayed his authorized admission in the U.S. by three months, was handed over to Hungarian officials upon his arrival at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport.

“This individual’s crime history in his home country shows that he is a dangerous person who warranted removal from the community and the U.S.,” John Tsoukaris, field office director for ICE ERO Newark, said in a statement.

Racz entered the U.S. on June 10, 2016, and was arrested by ICE officers at his home in Lakewood, N.J., on Oct. 10.
