AeroFS Launches Amium, a New Content-Centric Solution That Takes Team Collaboration to the Next Level

AeroFS, a leader in integrated collaboration solutions, today introduced Amium, the industry’s first content-centric collaboration solution. Built upon the popular and proven AeroFS enterprise file sync and share (EFSS) platform, Amium changes the way teams work together, offering a rich and seamless collaboration experience where teams can easily and efficiently engage in essential group discussions, content creation, and development efforts, all in one place.

“Based on our research into how customers actually used AeroFS in real-world environments, we saw an opportunity to reimagine the file sync and share platform by adding tightly integrated team messaging components, creating a powerful cloud-based product that makes team collaboration easier and more intuitive,” said Yuri Sagalov, co-founder and CEO of AeroFS. “Traditionally, team members collaborate on files through email attachments, links, or other ad hoc means, requiring them to do work and communicate in different places. Amium turns any file into a real-time activity feed and conversation, so teams can have one place for all their discussions about the work and content they are creating.”

Available now, Amium unifies file sharing, file synchronization, team messaging, and associated collaboration activities in one place and in real time. Documents and files are automatically attached to a collaboration discussion, and everyone involved in the conversation automatically gains access to this shared content. Full-page previews of files in most common file types can be viewed and worked on without having to leave the Amium application through integration with popular web services, including Microsoft Office 365 Online.

Team members always see the latest version of the file instantly as revisions are made by others. Additionally, a full version history of content and the conversations that led to changes are readily available for greater productivity. Amium is cloud-based, so users can be up and running in minutes.
