FBI Considering Single $5 Billion Contract for All IT Needs

The FBI is looking at a single $5 billion contract to cover all its needs, rather than multiple contracts, according to an RFI published on FedBizOpps.

The contract known as Information Technology Supplies and Support Services (ITSSS) will replace the current $30 billion purchase agreement, which is due to expire in October.

The RFI specifies a one-year base period and nine extra one-year options, along with a $5 billion ceiling for the contract, although these details are subject to change. The timeline suggests that a final solicitation would be issued in August, and be due at the beginning of October.

“The Information Technology Acquisitions Unit is contemplating creating an all-encompassing IT Services IDIQ based on Category Management to meet the needs and missions of our customers,” states the RFI.

Tracks to be included are agile development, operations and maintenance, engineering services, information technology consulting, information technology scientific services, cloud, telecomm, information technology services, cyber security, information technology security services and information technology help desk support.

The RFI also asks vendors to provide information on tracks that were not listed, that they would like to see added to the IDIQ.

All submissions should be made by April 20 and the FBI plans to hold a follow-up industry day on April 30 in Washington.
