Paladin Capital Group Invests in Digital Shadows

Paladin Capital Group, a DC-based private equity firm, said on Tuesday it has invested in Digital Shadows, the San Francisco- and London-based developer of a data analysis platform designed to provide clients with cyber situational awareness. The investment was part of the company’s new $14 million second round, led by Trinity Ventures. Digital Shadows specializes in cyber situational awareness, which provides a view of an organization’s digital footprint and profile of its attackers. The company’s SearchLight platform continuously monitors more than 100 million data sources in 27 languages across the visible, deep and dark web. "This round will help us accelerate both development and hiring of cybersecurity talent," said co-founder and CEO Alastair Paterson.
