“To be successful, we have to stop playing a game of Whack-a-Mole and we have to do three things,” Parisa Tabriz, director of engineering at Google, said Wednesday during her keynote address at Black Hat USA 2018 in Las Vegas. “First, we need to identify and tackle the root cause of problems; second, we have to be more intentional in how we pursue long-term defensive projects; and finally, we have to invest in full, proactive defensive projects.”
