GSA Announces New Political Appointees

Alex Goldman brings community engagement and congressional advocacy experience to his role as Special Assistant.

The U.S. General Services Administration announced the appointment of Alex Goldman as Special Assistant in the Office of the Administrator, Angela Lesnak as Counsel to the General Counsel, and Sam Myers as the Director of Advance.

Alex Goldman brings community engagement and congressional advocacy experience to his role as Special Assistant. His most recent position as the Associate Washington Director for the Bend the Arc Jewish Action gave him a wealth of experience directing advocacy with congress on a variety of civil rights and federal oversight issues. Goldman is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Angela Lesnak brings significant government and legal experience to the Office of General Counsel. Most recently, Lesnak was an associate at a global law firm. Prior to that, she served on the Biden-Harris Transition Team in the Office of General Counsel and clerked for the Honorable Mark R. Hornak, of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Lesnak is a graduate of Hamline University. She received her master’s degree from American University, School of International Service, and her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.

Sam Myers has decades of public and private sector experience. This includes a wealth of expertise in strategic planning, logistics, and large event planning. During the Obama-Biden Administration, Myers served as National Trip Advisor in the Office of the Vice President, where he oversaw hundreds of domestic and international trips for Vice President Biden. Prior to this experience, Myers served in the White House during the Clinton Administration as the Associate Director in the Office of Scheduling and Advance. A native of Missouri, Myers is a graduate of Truman State University.
