University of North Carolina Charlotte was placed on lockdown through most of the night after a shooting on campus that left two people dead and four others injured Tuesday.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have identified the shooter as 22-year-old Trystan Andrew Terrell. Authorities said Terrell is in custody at this time with pending charges against him.
Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Services Agency said two people were found dead at the scene, three others have life-threatening injuries and one person has injuries that are not life-threatening.
