FBI and Partner Agencies Offer Support Resources to Victims of the Tragedy at Old Dominion University

The FBI is committed to providing assistance and support to the victims of the tragedy at Old Dominion University on March 12, 2026. FBI victim specialists are working directly with those impacted by this tragedy, including victims and their family members, to ensure they receive services, resources, and support during this difficult time.

The FBI Victim Services Response Team is one of many specialized FBI assets deployed here to assist.

“On the heels of this tragedy, the strength and resilience of the people of Hampton Roads is a powerful reminder of the bonds that unite us,” said Dominique Evans, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Norfolk Field Office. “The men and women of the FBI—along with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners—carry the victims with us as we work around the clock conducting this investigation.”

FBI Norfolk has created a Virtual Family Assistance Center (VFAC) to support those who were present at Old Dominion University. This VFAC offers information and resources to help those impacted by the tragedy.

The FBI continues to work with Old Dominion University to provide services to those impacted by this horrific shooting.
