Two Killed, Dozens Hurt in Pemex Deer Park Chemical Release

Two workers are dead and least 35 injured after a hydrogen sulfide release at the Pemex Refinery at 5900 Highway 225 in Deer Park, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The cities of Pasadena and Deer Park issued shelter-in-place orders, but both have now been lifted and first responders say there is no danger to the public.

Several medical helicopters and ambulances transported the victims to hospitals.
