Coast Guard Rescues 3 Divers Near Palm Beach

A Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet boat crew rescued three divers recently after losing sight of their vessel near Palm Beach.

The three divers were transported ashore to awaiting emergency medical services in stable condition.

Coast Guard Southeast watchstanders received a notification via a Satellite Emergency Notification Device at 4:09 p.m., prompting the launch of rescue crews from both Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet and Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 5 p.m., the Station Lake Worth Inlet boat crew located and rescued all three missing divers one mile east of Palm Beach.

“It was a collective effort from everyone to save these divers,” said Petty Officer 2nd Class Vallery Massey, a Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet boat crew member. “Thanks to their emergency equipment we were able to bring them back home to their families.”
