Couple Arrested for Allegedly Forcing Way Past Airport Security – and Throwing Coffee in Staffer’s Face

A couple were arrested at Miami International Airport for allegedly attacking airline staff — with one even throwing coffee in a worker’s face — while trying to force their way onto a flight to Mexico.

Rafael Seirafe-Novaes and Beatriz Rapoport De Campos Maia were running late for their flight to Cancun on Sunday when they got into a heated altercation with airport staff, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office told NBC Miami.

During the fray, one of the suspects threw a coffee in the face of an American Airlines employee, according to officials.
