Attempted Bombing Now Confirmed as Al Qaeda Attack

Image ImageThe attempted bombing of Northwest Flight 253 by an Al Qaeda operative continues to be near the top of the priority list for the White House and the Department of Homeland Security. President Obama on Sunday said that Al Qaeda was behind the plot to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day. In his weekly interview with Federal News Radio, Homeland Security Today Editor David Silverberg discusses why the attack has become a political issue as well as the need for whole body imaging security screening.
