Sacramento TSA Officer’s 9/11 Story Inspires Mission to Keep Travelers Safe

At Sacramento International Airport, many TSA officers eventually learn that their colleague Patrick McHugh carries a deeply personal connection to 9/11. His sister, Ann Marie McHugh, died in the World Trade Center’s South Tower, and her name is among those honored on TSA’s Not on My Watch banner. For Patrick, joining TSA nearly two decades later was more than a career change — it became a way to honor his sister’s memory while contributing to the mission of keeping travelers safe.
