ICE Arrests Salvadoran National Wanted for Homicide in Virginia

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of Marco Tulio Lopez-Romero, a 44-year-old Salvadoran national, in Reston, Virginia, recently.

According to ICE, Lopez-Romero entered the United States in July 2016 near McAllen, Texas. Authorities in El Salvador issued an arrest warrant for him on December 6, 2017, in connection with a homicide case.

ICE officers identified his presence in the Washington, D.C. area and located him during a targeted enforcement action. He was taken into custody outside his residence.

Lopez-Romero remains in ICE custody pending the outcome of removal proceedings.
