El Paso Border Patrol Uncovers Rental Properties Used By Smugglers

The U.S. Border Patrol agents in El Paso have apprehended smugglers using rental properties as stash houses in the past year and often find these criminals damaging property, officials said.

Agents have encountered numerous short-term rental properties being exploited by Transnational Criminal Organizations.

On Feb. 13, agents assigned to the Ysleta Anti-Smuggling Unit were advised of a possible stash house near George Dieter Dr. and Montana Ave.
