CBP Seizes $68,000 in Undisclosed Cash From Nigeria-Bound Family at Dulles Airport

In a pre-Christmas crackdown on currency violations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Washington Dulles International Airport seized a staggering $68,000 from a Nigeria-bound family on Thursday.

The discovery was made during outbound inspections for a flight to Cairo, Egypt. Officials said the family was asked how much currency they had in their possession and the father reported that the family possessed $10,000 and signed a form formally reporting that amount.
