SPA National Security Series to Host “New Perspectives in Terrorism Prevention” Event

On Thursday, April 9 at 6 PM, join American University’s School of Public Affairs’ National Security Series for “New Perspectives in Terrorism Prevention.”

Hear from Cynthia Miller-Idriss, HSToday’s Editor-at-Large for the Terrorism Prevention vertical, Bill Braniff, and Ryan Greer, all of the Polarization and Extremism Research and Innovation Lab, as they explore new approaches to preventing terrorism and advancing research and practice in the field.

The event will provide an overview of a public health-informed approach to prevention as well as the role of misogyny in contemporary extremism: topics that will be covered in depth in the new SPA prevention concentration.
