An on-duty Border Patrol agent died in an accident in Douglas Tuesday night.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection was investigating the death.
John Mennell, CBP’s public affairs specialist for Arizona, only confirmed that an accident occurred Tuesday night and that CBP was looking into it. No wrongdoing was suspected at this time, Mennell said.
