CBP Officers Arrest Canadian Citizen Wanted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Nevada for Fraud Related Charges

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Buffalo, Rainbow Bridge border crossing, arrested a Canadian citizen on a warrant from the U.S District Court for the District of Nevada.

On March 16, CBP officers encountered Narinder Combo, a 41-year-old citizen of Canada. During an examination, CBP officers discovered Mr. Combo had an active National Crime Information Center warrant for federal charges originating in Nevada for wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. During the secondary inspection, CBP officers verified Combo’s identity along with the NCIC from the District of Nevada.

“The dedication and vigilance of our hard-working officers led to the apprehension of this individual for federal crimes,” said Acting Area Port Director Sharon Swiatek. “Our team remains committed to protecting the integrity of our borders and ensuring that those who attempt to exploit our financial systems are brought to justice.”

After processing and confirming the warrant, Combo was turned over to U. S. Marshals Service for extradition to Nevada.
