GIFCT Updates Toolkit to Support Online Efforts Against Violent Extremism

The Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT) has updated a toolkit aimed at strengthening online efforts to counter terrorism and violent extremism.

The Campaign Toolkit is a free resource designed to help individuals, non-profits, and advocacy groups develop and implement digital initiatives addressing extremist content and narratives. It offers guidance across the full lifecycle of a campaign—from initial concept and development to launch and evaluation—regardless of the user’s level of experience.

Positioned as a centralized hub, the toolkit provides practical resources to support more effective online engagement and counter-messaging efforts. It is intended to make it easier for a broad range of stakeholders to participate in countering extremist activity in digital spaces.

GIFCT, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, brings together technology companies, government partners, civil society, and academic institutions to collaborate on solutions to terrorist and extremist use of online platforms. The updated toolkit reflects ongoing efforts to improve coordination and expand access to tools that address evolving threats at the intersection of technology and terrorism.
