Anthony Wysocki

Mr. Wysocki is a Director in the Office of Inspector General, U.S. Department of Transportation, with a track record of strengthening federal program performance. He leads teams that conduct high-impact oversight of DOT's largest programs, grants, and acquisitions — driving over 200 recommendations for improvement, 95% of which have been adopted by agency leadership. His oversight portfolio spans some of the federal government's highest-stakes investments: $620 billion in Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act funding, the Federal Railroad Administration's $10 billion High-Speed Rail Program, $4 billion in high-risk DOT IT investments under Capital Planning and Investment Controls, and $1.2 billion in FAA contracts modernizing the nation's air traffic control system. Mr. Wysocki also conceived and built DOT-OIG's Federal Acquisition Certification Program — the first initiative of its kind in the federal Inspector General community — significantly expanding staff capacity to audit complex acquisitions. Beyond DOT, Mr. Wysocki is a recognized voice in the oversight and governance community. As a contributor to the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, he helped develop automated performance-audit tools and professional development programs, including Suspension and Debarment training used across the IG community. He is also an active member of various associations such as the National Grants Management Association and the National Contract Management Association. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wysocki led U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) teams that delivered major improvements across the federal landscape — including oversight of $200 billion in Department of Defense services contracts, $4 trillion in private pension assets regulated by the Department of Labor, and Homeland Security's anti-terrorism technology procurements. His analysis was instrumental in helping Congress close a $450 million loophole in the Social Security Trust Fund. He also served with the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, where he strengthened federal agencies' IT acquisition practices. Mr. Wysocki holds a Master's Degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from the University of Scranton.
