Airport Security Team Make Christmas Tree from Confiscated Items

Aviation security officers at Lithuania’s Vilnius Airport have built a Christmas tree using items that have been confiscated at the checkpoint.

Intended as an educational message in the hope it reminds travelers about which items are prohibited, the tree is made from confiscated knives, scissors, lighters, blades and various other dangerous goods. Scissors appear to be the most confiscated item and form the shape of the tree.

In a LinkedIn post, the airport says travelers should check out baggage requirements before packing for their next flight if they don’t want their personal, but prohibited, items to end up on next year’s tree.
