INTERPOL is inviting biosecurity experts, researchers, scholars, and professionals involved in biological incident prevention, preparedness, and response to submit abstracts for its 2nd Global Biosecurity Conference, scheduled for Nov. 3-5, 2026, at INTERPOL Headquarters in Lyon, France.
The conference will bring together law enforcement agencies, biosecurity specialists, partner organizations, and academia from around the world to discuss emerging biological threats, evolving biosecurity challenges, and current best practices.
According to INTERPOL, the event is intended to strengthen global dialogue on biosecurity while helping participants identify actionable steps to improve prevention, preparedness, and response capabilities related to biological incidents.
Abstract submissions are subject to a selection process, with a deadline of May 22, 2026.
The abstract should cover one of the following topics:
- Global biological threat landscape
- Indicators and early-warning for biological threats
- Health and law enforcement coordination when responding to a biological incident
- Forensic examination of bio-contaminated evidence
- Biosecurity at borders
- Science, technology, and innovation: emerging challenges and dual-use risks to biosecurity

- Moving forward legal, policy, and information-sharing enablers for biosecurity
