Former DHS Executive Director Matthew Seaman Joins Vanguard as Head of Physical Security

Former Department of Homeland Security executive Matthew Seaman has joined Vanguard as Head of Physical Site Security, bringing more than a decade of federal leadership experience overseeing facilities, infrastructure, and operational support across DHS.

Most recently, Seaman served as Acting Executive Director for Facilities and Operational Support at DHS, while also holding the role of Director of DHS Real Property.

Earlier, Seaman served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). He also spent more than six years in DHS’s Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer, advancing from program analyst to Chief of Staff.

He holds a master’s degree in Justice and Public Policy from American University and a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Political Science from North Carolina State University.
