Gibson Picked to be Chief Management Officer at Defense Department

President Trump has announced his intention to nominate John Gibson to be chief management officer at the  Department of Defense.

Gibson is currently the department’s deputy CMO, and was previously president and chief executive officer of XCOR Aerospace Inc.

Gibson has held private-sector leadership positions including chairman of the advisory committee at Looking Glass Investments and senior vice president of Global Mission Support at Beechcraft. He has also served as Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Financial Management/Comptroller and CFO), as well as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Management Reform).
