Nicholas Pavlik, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran with nearly three decades of maritime operational experience, has joined Teledyne Technologies Incorporated as Maritime Federal Business Development Manager.
In his new role, Pavlik leads strategic engagement with federal agencies to support maritime surveillance, navigation, and situational awareness capabilities. His responsibilities include developing customer relationships, identifying operational requirements, supporting business development strategies, and aligning Teledyne’s maritime technology portfolio with federal missions.
Pavlik brings extensive Coast Guard leadership experience to the position, having served in a variety of operational, training, and command roles during his 28-year career with the service.
Most recently, Pavlik served as Operations Manager at Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, where he oversaw boat operations, ice rescue tactics, and deck seamanship training across the Coast Guard’s Boat Forces enterprise, major cutter fleet, and training schools. He managed a $1.5 million operational budget, $13 million in property assets, and a team of 220 personnel supporting more than 1,000 students annually.
Previously, Pavlik served as Emergency Management Coordinator at Coast Guard Sector North Carolina, where he supported search and rescue, maritime law enforcement, marine safety, and port, waterways, and coastal security missions across the state’s waterways.
His Coast Guard assignments also included Tactical Operations Manager with the Maritime Security Response Team (West), Director of Operations at Coast Guard Station Mayport, and Foreign Military Advisor supporting maritime infrastructure protection efforts in Saudi Arabia.
He also serves as a committee member with the International Association of Search and Rescue Coordinators, contributing expertise on maritime search and rescue protocols and training standards.
Pavlik previously served as a Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer and previously achieved the rank of Senior Chief Boatswain’s Mate.
Pavlik holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Homeland Security from American Military University.
