New Report Exposes And Details Iranian Regime Supporters Across The U.S.

An in-depth report published last week by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) detailed Iran-inspired and orchestrated violence and terror activity in the U.S.

U.S. intelligence agencies have long warned that Tehran’s ideological messaging and covert networks could inspire or enable attacks inside the U.S. The threat has only grown in recent years, as more operatives have been dispatched to the U.S. to scope out targets and even set up educational and religious institutions to spread Iran’s Islamic revolutionary ideology. Outreach to student groups has been ramped up, as have efforts to influence U.S. domestic policy. The report sets out these government warnings in recent years, including concerns about sleeper cells.

After reviewing Iran-linked terror activity and arrests and convictions of Iranian regime agents for attempted murder and other crimes, the report’s main authors, MEMRI Executive Director Steven Stalinsky, Lead Editor R. Sosnow, and Research Fellow Rachel Legow, examine in detail Iranian threats to attack inside the U.S. and to assassinate U.S. officials, including President Trump. It should be noted that just last week, its top armed forces spokesman warned that “parks, recreational areas, and tourist destinations” will not be safe for Iran’s enemies anywhere.

Now, as the Iranian regime faces the biggest threat in its history, its loyalists and agents across the U.S. are publicly displaying their support for the regime, its leaders, and its ideology. The report’s authors document these displays in detail; they include memorials for slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei held at Islamic centers that Iran help to create and through its disinformation campaign all across social media.
