Lumeta Corporation, the leader in network situational awareness, today announced that its flagship product, Lumeta ESI, is now integrated with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO). Using the two products together gives IT organizations the real-time visibility they need to proactively identify, manage, and respond to endpoint security issues and threats across dynamic cloud/virtual/mobile/physical networks.
McAfee ePO software includes McAfee Active Response, a comprehensive endpoint detection and response (EDR) feature for indicator of attack (IoA) investigation and remediation. It requires a client agent to be active on every device. If an organization has any blind spots – “undefended” devices/endpoints – they remain vulnerable to cyberattacks.
“Integrating Lumeta ESI with McAfee ePO gives users the comprehensive visibility needed, in real time, to proactively address endpoint security issues,” said Brandon Hoffman, chief technology officer for Lumeta.
Lumeta ESI provides real-time network indexing, enabling authoritative network visibility and immediate detection of new infrastructure and devices utilizing network services. The integration of Lumeta ESI with McAfee ePO identifies unknown assets on a network, not yet managed by McAfee ePO, so they can be brought under control. Users have the ability to launch directly from Lumeta ESI into an actionable McAfee ePO console for threat containment, banning and remediation activities.
The integration allows for a more effective security program by delivering always-on, real-time hunting for endpoint coverage gaps and advanced security threats allowing security practitioners to monitor security posture, improve threat detection, and expand incident response.
