U.S. Coast Guard Station Ocean City crew members hosted a free open house with partner agencies in Ocean City, Maryland last weekend.
Six partner agencies participated in the event, offering an opportunity for members of the community to meet with first responders who provided safety tips and career information to the public.
The community event was available to all ages and included free tours of first responder assets including the station’s the 45-foot Response Boat – Medium and 27-foot Special Purpose Craft – Shallow Water II.
The purpose of the event was to promote understanding between the public and first responders, providing an opportunity to share about their day-to-day operations and increase awareness of who is there to help during emergencies.

– Ocean City Fire Department
– Maryland Natural Resources Police
– Coast Guard Station Ocean City
– U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary crew members
