Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has added GovComm’s ITS Eagle & Hawk series speed dome (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras to its Approved Product List (APL).
These GovComm cameras were approved after successful evaluation against the rigorous and comprehensive requirements of FDOT’s Specification 682, and after meeting all the compatibility requirements for use with the agency’s SunGuide system which manages and maintains the state’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
Having gained APL status, these GovComm cutting edge traffic monitoring camera systems can now be installed on the Florida Turnpike, Florida interstate highways, Florida state roads and arterial motorways across the state.
Deployment of the company’s Eagle and Hawk network-centric camera systems will facilitate the Florida traffic management network’s ability to seamlessly share traffic monitoring information among governmental agencies and departments that benefit from consolidated traffic intelligence and provide better coordination in routine conditions, natural disasters or other emergencies. The network will also gain from GovComm’s proven track-record of providing outstanding equipment, customer support and service.

Eagle (GC-ICPO-XXX) and Hawk (GC-IMPO-XXX) series ITS camera systems will be marketed to qualified ITS contractors and engineers.
