Mickey Paul Middaugh is a retired U.S. Air Force Security Forces Senior Master Sergeant with 24 years of active-duty service specializing in force protection, behavioral-based threat recognition, and crisis leadership. During his career, he directed security organizations of more than 1,200 personnel and oversaw the protection of strategic national assets, including air, space, and missile defense systems, valued at approximately $48 billion. He served in combat and contingency deployments worldwide, with force protection responsibilities across critical U.S. defense installations.
Middaugh holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration with Honors from Florida Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the Burlington County Police Academy in New Jersey. He is the founder of Grey Matter Ops™ and creator of the Red Dot Mindset™ podcast and blog, where he translates threat recognition and behavioral awareness frameworks into practical preparedness for individuals, teams, and organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors for Texas for Heroes.
