Allied Universal Taps Ryan Manning as Chief Compliance Officer

Allied Universal has appointed Ryan Manning as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). He will be based in the Santa Ana corporate office.

Manning will be responsible for overseeing all enterprise compliance globally for the company. With operations in over 90 countries around the world, Manning will contribute to the company’s ESG and sustainability goals by furthering the company’s commitment to the highest ethical standards and corporate social responsibility. 

“This new CCO role emphasizes not only our deep commitment to ethics and compliance within the organization but also furthering our goal of being a good corporate citizen and having a positive economic, social and environmental impact on society,” said Steve Jones, Global Chairman & CEO at Allied Universal. “Ryan’s keen legal insights and business acumen coupled with his understanding of Allied Universal’s unique needs will make him a valuable asset to the company’s future success.”

With over 21 years in legal practice, Ryan has extensive experience in both the private sector and federal government. For more than 16 years, Ryan was an equity partner with Newmeyer Dillion, a Newport Beach based, multi-service law firm leading litigation teams and advising clients on legal compliance, risk management and litigation avoidance strategies. Ryan brings extensive experience handling business, real estate and insurance coverage litigation, insurance policy interpretation, compliance and placement, risk avoidance, transfer and management, and labor and employment.

Prior to joining Newmeyer Dillion, Ryan served for 12 years in the United States Marine Corps on active duty and in the reserves and was honorably discharged in 2005. Ryan enlisted in the Marine Corps out of high school and was later commissioned and served as a Judge Advocate/Senior Trial Counsel on Camp Pendleton where he prosecuted hundreds of cases involving a variety of crimes, including premediated murder and war crimes. He received a juris doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and received his bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University.
