Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a FORTUNE 500® science and technology company, will support the Social Security Administration (SSA) under a prime contract to provide information technology (IT) services in support of the SSA Agency Strategic Plan. The multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has up to a ten year period of performance, should all option periods be exercised, with a total contract ceiling of $2.3 billion. The contract was originally pursued by and awarded to Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions (IS&GS) business, now a part of Leidos following the August 2016 merger. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Md.
The SSA Agency Strategic Plan aims to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT services. Leidos has been a trusted partner to the SSA for more than 28 years, assisting the Agency to achieve its mission to sustain a reliable IT infrastructure with a trusted workforce, innovative technology solutions, and demonstrated ability to deliver cost-effective services while maintaining exceptional performance. Under the follow-on contract, Leidos will provide lifecycle activities for software improvement, database and data administration, software engineering and management support, and systems administration and security support.
