Nikolaos Ipiotis has been tapped to serve as the new chief information officer (CIO) at the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) – an independent agency of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that supports research in the biomedical and health breakthrough – according to his LinkedIn account.
As the new CIO, Ipiotis will be tasked with modernizing IT and cybersecurity capabilities at ARPA-H to meet the agency’s health research needs and help create scalable solutions.
Prior to taking the helm as the CIO at ARPA-H, Ipiotis served as chief data officer (CDO) at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) – the parent agency of NIH – from 2021 until late last year.
