China Claims Over 10 Quantum-Based Cyber Weapons Are Being Tested for Warfare

Military researchers believe quantum computing can process battlefield data in seconds and improve air defense detection of stealth aircraft.

China’s military has revealed fresh details about its push to use quantum technology to extract high-value intelligence from public cyberspace, signaling a new phase in how future conflicts could be planned and fought.

The disclosure came from Science and Technology Daily, an official state newspaper, which said the People’s Liberation Army is already testing early quantum cyberwarfare tools during frontline missions.

According to the report, more than 10 experimental quantum cyber warfare tools are now “under development,” with several already being “tested in front-line missions.” The work is being led by a supercomputing laboratory at the National University of Defense Technology.
