DHS Selects Imperva for $6B CDM Program

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has selected cybersecurity firm Imperva’s SecureSphere Web Application Firewall and SecureSphere Database Firewall for inclusion in its Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Tools/Continuous Monitoring as a Service Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).

The CDM program is designed to provide federal agencies with the tools necessary to fortify the cybersecurity of computer networks and systems. DHS is responsible for the implementation of the CDM program. Imperva said the company is one of a group of less than 20 vendors approved for Phase 3 of the CDM and will partner with top government system integrators to deliver its solutions through the CDM program.

“This selection is a testament to the depth of our experience spanning thousands of installations across civilian and defense agencies, and global enterprises,” said Mike Mooney, chief revenue officer at Imperva. “We will use the CDM program to make it even easier to apply our proven solutions and expertise to protect the mission-specific critical data and applications of federal agencies.”

The CDM BPA is available to federal departments and agencies, state, local, regional, and tribal governments. Through the CDM BPA, users can leverage industry solutions to analyze user access to critical web applications and protect their applications and databases from cyberattacks, data loss and theft.

“The federal market is extremely important to us, and we are pleased to be included in the CDM program to help government agencies transform the way they protect our nation’s data and applications,” said Bill Goodson, area vice president, Federal Government, at Imperva.
