Exacq Introduces New Kantech EntraPass Access Control Integration for Simplified Entry Management

Exacq Technologies, part of the Security Products business unit of Tyco introduces a native integration with Kantech EntraPass access control system for immediate response to events. exacqVision version 7.2 video management system (VMS) software also includes setup indicators, a new list search mode, push notifications in Exacq mobile and alert configuration in Enterprise System Manager (ESM), a health monitoring program for use with exacqVision Enterprise network video recorders (NVRs).

The new exacqVision Kantech integration combines access control into the exacqVision video management system for seamless management and monitoring of building entry points. The Kantech integration combined with exacqVision Camera Links, introduced in exacqVision 7.0, allows users to see and control doors and locks directly from the live view page of the exacqVision client. Camera Links puts exacqVision users most needed commands at their fingertips and vastly improves their response time to critical alarms and events.

In addition to timeline, thumbnail and smartsearch, exacqVision users can now utilize list search within exacqVision version 7.2. With the new list search option, exacqVision displays search results in a list format with an animated thumbnail of the associated video to greatly reduce investigation time.

To simplify installation, exacqVision 7.2 launches setup indicators to guide installers through common configuration options to optimize their exacqVision configuration for ideal performance in how cameras stream and the video being recorded. Setup indicators provide guidance on configuring motion detection, ensuring network connectivity, changing default passwords and more.

With push notifications from the latest Exacq Mobile app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 devices, any event monitors configured within the exacqVision client can be pushed to a user’s mobile device. This feature provides Exacq mobile app users with the ability to open the event in the triggered state and instantly take action if necessary.

The new Enterprise System Manager (ESM) alerts give administrators the ability to prioritize events in order of importance. With this new functionality, ESM displays alerts in the main dashboard ensuringusers have quicker access to the most important events for more efficient security management.

The exacqVision VMS is accessed with the freely distributed exacqVision client software (Windows/Linux/Mac), the exacqVision free web browser client available for all leading web browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera), as well as the free Exacq mobile app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 devices. The VMS software is included with pre-configured exacqVIsion NVR servers or it can be installed on third-party Windows or Linux-based systems.
