Homeland Security Today (HSToday) announced today a strategic partnership with the newly launched Center for Cross-Sector Coordination (CXC), establishing a new weekly newsletter to accompany its Critical Infrastructure Security vertical and a dedicated editorial board to further advance understanding and collaboration across the nation’s 16 critical infrastructures.
As part of this collaboration, CXC founders will Chair HSToday’s Critical Infrastructure Security editorial board, bringing deep, cross-sector expertise to help shape content, analysis, and insights focused on the evolving risks facing critical infrastructure.
The new newsletter and its vertical will serve as a central platform for thought leadership, expert perspectives, and actionable insights spanning all 16 critical infrastructure sectors—from energy and transportation to healthcare, telecommunications, and the defense industrial base. You can sign up for the new newsletter, going each Wednesday, here.
“This partnership reflects the growing need for a more integrated, cross-sector approach to critical infrastructure security and information sharing,” said Kristina Tanasichuk, Executive Editor of Homeland Security Today. “By bringing CXC’s leadership into our editorial ecosystem, we are expanding the depth of our coverage at a time when risks are increasingly interconnected, asymmetric, and distributed.”
From cyber intrusions and physical threats to supply chain disruptions and natural disasters—further intensified by geopolitical tensions—disruptions in one sector can quickly cascade across others, posing significant risks to national security, economic stability, and public services.
“Having a platform for CI owners and operators to share ideas, learn from one another and from experts in HSToday’s community, will truly evolve our information sharing to the next level,” said Kelly Murray, Co-founder and Executive Director of CXC. “Our vibrant community will not only be connected to one another, we will be part of the information sharing network that is HSToday.”
The expanded Infrastructure Security vertical will continue to feature original analysis, interviews, and commentary from leaders across government, industry, and academia. The new accompanying newsletter will provide a weekly curated digest of key developments, expert perspectives and commentary, emerging threats, and innovative solutions shaping the resilience of critical infrastructure systems. HSToday will also continue to spearhead efforts recognizing Critical Infrastructure Security & Resilience Month in November by hosting its annual CISR collaboration, focusing editorial on critical infrastructure, and producing its annual Special Edition on Critical Infrastructure.
