A new website and app that will provide the US Secret Service (USSS) with a more innovative and direct way to deliver important information to the public about the agency’s missions and activities was launched today, the agency announced.
“The new app and website will allow us to communicate more directly and transparently with the public,” said Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy. “This comes just in time for the upcoming visit by Pope Francis and the United National General Assembly, when we will be providing timely information to the public, especially for residents and visitors in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. As our agency continues to move forward in this information age, we are going to continue to find ways to serve the public and keep them up to date on our missions.”
According to the Secret Service, it collaborated with NIC Federal LLC on the app to provide easy access to public USSS resources, including safety alerts, announcements, recruitment and employment resources, field office contact information and more.
